COMPOST WORKS is a not-for-profit environmental body which has been set up to promote more and better composting in Mole Valley, funded by a grant from Surrey Waste Action. 25 volunteers are involved with practical demonstrations by holding Open Days in members' gardens. We have a compost hotline and attend fetes, fairs etc with a mobile display including a fully functioning composter. We also support a permanent compost project and demonstration site at The Grange Centre in Bookham. The Grange is a residential centre for people with disabilities, offering training including horticulture.
