The Shropshire Master Composter scheme started in Autumn 2006 and is run by the Waste Partnership for Shropshire. There are currently about 50 Master Composters spread over the county, who have split themselves into district sub groups to ensure they cover the whole county. The Master Composters are very organised with their own mobile number and yahoo group and very active - attending fairs, plant sales, giving talks in schools and even entering a garden design competition with their 'recycled garden'.
